Friday 06/15/18 - Texas is just too Large!

Drove over 500 miles from Texarkana, TX to Amarillo, TX, and there is still over an hour to get to New Mexico.  There is definitely a difference between east Texas and west Texas.  East Texas has tall trees, and many large fields of corn and soybeans.  Whereas west Texas is relatively flat, few trees, and grazing cows.  Here is one interesting than one doesn't see most places.

Watch out for those snakes.

We drove lots of working oil wells.  Nice to have one of those in your back yard.  There are also lots of  wind farms.  The wind blows almost constantly primarily from the southeast.

Tomorrow off to New Mexico.
